Cooking with HerbsCooking with Herbs

Many resources abound on the internet concerning cooking with herbs. Look for recipes with herb titles.

It will also be found that recipes for rice, nearly all meats, birds, fish, eggs, cheese, and various fountain beverages are more tasty if herbs are used than they would be without them. Think, too, of the delectable soups devised by clever French and Italian cooks, fountains of flavor, they are, many of whom used herbs centuries before the discovery of America. Our ancestors who landed in New England and at Jamestown soon introduced many of these herbs. The Spaniards in Latin America were even more inventive, for they may have been the first to find such highly flavorable plants as the hot, red peppers (tabasco sauce) and the vanilla, both of which had wide use by the Aztecs, but were unknown before the Conquest.

Go forth and Herb!
